Mies Missing Materiality convirtió durante once días el Pabellón Mies van der Rohe en una representación de sí mismo, con todas sus superficies limitadas a un único material blanco y uniforme bajo la dirección de Anna & Eugeni Bach.
Esta intervención artística ha generado un libro que se añade a la colección de publicaciones de la Fundació Mies van der Rohe: una bellísima edición donde se presentan, además de textos de los autores de la intervención, las aportaciones de Juhani Pallasmaa, Fabrizio Gallanti, María Langarita, Carlos Quintáns y Juan José Lahuerta con imágenes de Adrià Goula que además es autor de un cortometraje que recoge todo el proceso de la intervención a partir de las reflexiones de Juhani Pallasmaa. Una vez desmontada la intervención, el material utilizado se reconvirtió en una pieza artística que ahora se muestra y se incorpora a la colección de la Fundació Mies van der Rohe.
MIES MISSING MATERIALITY
Mies Missing Materiality turned the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion into a representation of itself for eleven days, with all its surfaces limited to a single white and uniform material under the direction of Anna & Eugeni Bach.
This artistic intervention has generated a book that is added to the collection of publications of the Mies van der Rohe Foundation: a beautiful edition where they are presented, in addition to texts by the authors of the intervention, the contributions of Juhani Pallasmaa, Fabrizio Gallanti, María Langarita, Carlos Quintáns and Juan José Lahuerta with images of Adrià Goula who is also the autor of a short film that includes the whole process of the intervention based on Juhani Pallasmaa’s reflections. Once the intervention was removed, the material used was reconverted into an artistic piece that is now shown and incorporated into the collection of the Mies van der Rohe Foundation.
